The company was formed in 1994 by Phillip Khan-Panni, whose business background was in sales, advertising and direct marketing. Initially his aim was to improve the standard of presentations by advertising agencies when presenting their creative work to clients.
He expanded that to include new business pitches and other sales presentations. Along the way he found himself winning numerous speech contests, rising to second in the World Championship, and Public Speaking was added to the portfolio.
With his own East-West heritage, he found opportunities to work abroad on cross cultural issues, and co-wrote a book called Communicating Across Cultures. That was also added to the portfolio, along with Managing Media, which arose out of his own extensive experience in newspapers, magazines and occasionally in broadcasting as well.
